Shining Stars Update…

Recently in Shining Stars we have welcomed lots of new friends up from Little Clusters.

We have still been enjoying our weekly forest school sessions; although it has been very cold, we wrap up warm and still have a fantastic time! This week we helped Chris to put up a shelter where we used sticks to make tables, chairs, and a pretend fire to roast marshmallows on!

The children are already super excited for Christmas.

Along with our Christmas cards, we have been decorating planets to go on our ‘To Christmas and Beyond’ tree in Bidford Church.

We have also started decorating our door for the Christmas door decorating competition. We have done lots of work on our fine motor skills through painting, sticking, colouring, and cutting to decorate various parts of the door.

Lastly, we have created a song (sung to the tune of Frère Jacques) to encourage hand washing:

“Roll your sleeves up, roll your sleeves up,

Wash your hands, wash your hands,

Now it’s time to dry them, now it’s time to dry them,

Then sit down, then sit down.”
